Try and include as many as possible in your diet.

Apples - Rich in Vit C, high in soluble fibre - can relive constipation and diarrhoea and also benefit the circulation.

Helps keep blood sugar levels stable - and excellent alkaline-forming food: green apples are usually higher in Vit C than red ones

Bananas - loads of potassium and magnesium. The starch and soluble fibre make them a good energy food - effective in the treatment of constipation.

Eating a ripe one 30 min after exercise will help the body recover.

Blackcurrants - Loads of Vitamin C in them, an antioxidant which can help strengthen your immune system

Melon Vit C - one of the most alkaline foods. It balances the digestive system

Pineapple - High in fibre rich in the enzyme bromelain, which breaks down protein, making it a valuable digestive aid. Maintains a healthy heart and can help healing and tissue rapier after injury.

Strawberries - Vit C Great as the antioxidant helps protect against arthritis, anaemia and cancer.

Asparagus - Vit C, beta-carotene and selenium, helps with water retention.
