    Looking great for going on holiday all the hard work has worked, but scared you'll pile on the pounds when you're away? Help is at hand.

    You have done all the hard work to get your body fit for the beach this summer, so why let it go to waste when you are away?

    It's easy to slob around on holiday and let yourself say -

    "That's what holidays are for"

    but with just a little bit of effort each day will help make sure you go home with an even better body.

    Meals don't skip them!

    Ensure you eat three meals a day, every day. This does not mean you have to have a huge breakfast, but having a bowl of cereal will help keep hunger at bay and kick start your day. Lunch is a must too. Eating regularly will help regulate your blood glucose and curb the cravings.

    Drink Plenty of Water!

    This keeps your skin and body hydrated and you looking good throughout your holiday. We need to drink more water on holiday because of the hot weather. Fluids will help regulate our body temperature - so very important in hot weather.

    Get into the lingo!

    Get a local phrase book, immerse yourself in the culture of the country you are in. Try the local cuisine. Try and stay out of the touristy restaurants (fish and chips etc).

    Get a little active everyday!

    Bike ride to the local ruins, water aerobics, beach games etc - just get off that beach bed and move.

    Alcohol intake!

    Keep a close eye on this one. It is easy to forget that alcohol contains calories. Avoid creamy cocktails, which are packed with calories and fat, and go for fruit based ones instead.

    Going home

    If you find on the way home your hips and waist have got bigger, do not panic. You have had an amazing holiday and its nothing that cant be fixed by a little sensible eating and exercise.
