Golden rules for successful Health and Fitness Training
    Sarah-Jane

Guidelines for safe successful exercise Equipment.

You do not need loads of fancy equipment - get out and walk, run, use the stairs. Of you do want to get some fitness equipment, select the equipment that suits your requirements.

    Don't forget to STRETCH!

Remember to stretch after exercising. Some people like to have a small stretch after they have done a warm up - this is fine, but make sure it is not too long that you cool yourself down again!

Stretching helps to keep your muscles and ligaments flexible, avoid strains and injuries and releases tension.

It is one of the most important components of fitness - do not skimp.

Make sure you watch some of my video clips on www.myfitnessinstructor.co.uk/videos.htlm there is loads of advice on there - also use the forum to ask any Q's you may have.

Don't go mad and overdo it. If you are new to exercise you need to start slowly - be patient, you will get there.

    Rest
Your body needs it. If you are not used to exercise, ensure you have a days rest between exercise.

If you are already fit enough, you can train almost daily as long as you remember not to overdo things - listen to your body.

    Water
Drink it, Drink it, Drink it!! No more need to be said - you know this!

    Clothing
Wear suitable clothing and trainers - ask any Q's in the forum on this.

    Enjoy
I hope you all enjoy your training. Think of fitness as a way of life. Start to change YOUR attitude - it really is up to YOU.

You get one chance, one body - look after it - the choice is yours...
